About the Campaign
A Civil Society Initiative
The Canadians for Peacekeeping campaign has the objective of mobilizing Canadians and calling on the government of Canada to increase its commitment to United Nations peace operations. The campaign was launched in 2010 with the support of a wide range of civil society groups and individuals from across Canada.
Our Role
Canadians for Peacekeeping works to advance our Campaign Statement which has gained the support of prominent individuals and civil society groups. As well, the campaign aims to be a resource, serving to proliferate studies, articles, and expert opinion on all facets of Canadian peacekeeping including:
- The size and scope of Canada’s commitments
- Canadian public opinion on peacekeeping
- The comparative advantages of military commitments to UN peace operations
